Do all Corsair RM650x PSUs buzz?

Johnny999

Title. I've seen a lot of complaints of buzzing during low loads/when the PC is off.

Depends on the mains.

Most people don't have an issue.  Some people always have an issue.

I do get a buzz on my RM650x when in standby, but it's only audible if I put my ear literally on the PSU, and even then it's very slight.

No buzz from mine either. As JG said, if you have a buzz with RM-x then you'll likely get buzz with any other PSU because electricity supplied by your mains is noisy.

Fixed.

Efficiency and safety requirements over the last five years have caused better PSUs to be more sensitive to line noise.

I currently have a Focus PX-550 whose fan is noticeably rattling under high loads so I'm looking for a replacement with a better fan.

Well that's timely. I have the RM850x and currently getting high pitched whine when under load through Folding@Home. It goes away immediately when I pause the Folding client. I would assume that I'm still good, right? Just a bit of noise?

System includes a R7 1700, GTX980 and GTX1080Ti.

That's different than what the OP is reporting, but perfectly normal under high loads.  Mine screeches occasionally when running the Catzilla benchmark.
