Suggest a new game to play (difficulty inside)

Radium_Angel

I am a very casual gamer. I play, regularly, two games: Unturned and Armoured Warfare.

I'd forgotten that I'd purchased Minecraft eons ago, and when sorting through my old files, found the program.

Much has changed with it, but I enjoy the lack of a plot to the game. Much like Unturned, there are no rules or goal in the game, you make that up as you go along.

Are there other games like that?

I'd prefer solo gaming, not a fan of playing online with other people, unless it's PvE/co-op (PvP leaves me cold)

NOTE: I no longer frequent this site. If you really need help, PM/DM me and my e.mail will alert me.

No Man's Sky has quite a free form approach, but has plenty of exploration and engaging gameplay.

I'm a huge fan of the Trine series, which are 2d platform/puzzle games with 3 characters who have individual powers and abilities which compliment each other.

Roblox is meant to a bit like Minecraft, though I haven't played it.

Little Big Planet has a very free form style, though that's on Sony platforms.

What about something like The Witness?

Subnautica?

Yes but it sucks if you play alone, there is a lot of content you will not be able to do solo

No Man's Sky is on Game Pass, as are quite a few more unusual games, as well as a surprising amount of indie games, obscure stuff, puzzles games etc...

It's worth a look if you are able to commit to a subscription.

It's how I'm currently playing No Man's Sky, as well as Flight Simulator 2020, Gears 5, Sea of Thieves, Subnautica, and others.

I see. I got burned out playing with other people way back in the Diablo 1 days. Did not enjoy that at all (also where I learned most other people online were jerks who would PK you and take your stuff if they could)

You don’t really have to be good at the game to have fun. It’s relatively cheap during sales and it’s great fun with friends to mess around with, nobody forces you to play your heart out (which is why I play it) you just need to find a good group of people to play with then your set. There’s constant strats being used by the community, it doesn’t have an overwhelming amount of content and the learning curve is manageable. I just find it fun to play with close friends from across the world and talk about our day and just have a nice laugh.

well, you can play on pve servers with little interaction with other players. but I agree with the others, the best parts of the game are being in a guild and doing stuff together with other people.

Maybe some form of Sim City?

Some RTS may be up your alley. Dawn of War is fun to build bases & the campaign is literally "These are the factions. Attack whomever you desire & take territory as you please."

No mans sky, spore, elite dangerous, endless sky, eurotruck simulator, satisfactory, factorio, star citizen, prison architect are also some quite open ended games.

Among us is also quite casual. idk if it'd be up your alley, but it's free on the iphone. I think it's $5 on PC. It is cross platform.
