Asus refreshes B450 Motherboards

My suspicion is both or ddr5 only.  Some motherboards would be ddr5, some would be ddr4.  If it’s just ddr4 there’s not enough reason to do an am5.  Zen4 with ddr4, if there even is a zen4 and not something else, (whether it is called zen4 or not) would have to have really good stuff under the hood to make it worth it, and while AMD is reaping benefits from intel’s inability to make a useful die change for what is over 10 years now, that will likely eventually end. AMD said they would support am4 through zen3.  They did not say they would do more than that, and they’re already having problems with am4 maintainance

AMD Ryzen 6000 APU ("Rembrandt") was reported to be using DDR5 with 32-bit channels per DIMM. So effectively quad-quad channel.

Considering dual-channel is a bottleneck in working with more mores in the current Ryzen series, this makes more sense to move to AM5.

Question is, how might this this rub against the low-end offering of the TR platform with a Ryzen 9 6k series? 🤔

The way it seems to work is there are CPUs, APUs, and TRCPUs.  Rembrandt is an APU which makes the whole thing confusing. It implies there is going to be some sort of change.
Intel doesn’t normally do CPUs at all. They normally do iGPUs(APUs) and if they do sell a CPU, it’s an “f” version which is an apu(iGPU) with the gpu turned off.

Not a pro, not even very good.  I’m just old and have time currently.  Assuming I know a lot about computers can be a mistake.

Life is like a bowl of chocolates: there are all these little crinkly paper cups everywhere.
