DP to HDMI connector converter

I want to have better cable management for my monitor. As my port are all facing downward, I'm having a hard time to route the cables along my monitor arm.

My monitor spec is 165Hz. On hdmi, my monitor would only allow up until 120Hz refresh rate. So my only choice is to use DP.

Since I cant found anywhere a DP 90/270 L-connector, I was thinking of buying DP to HDMI cable, then I'll connect to a HDMI 90/270 connector.

My question is if I use HDMI cable, connected to my monitor's DP using a DP/HDMI converter, would it allow me to reach 165Hz?

Then I believe that I'm stuck either with bad cable management or 120hz using hdmi cable.

Is that like Scart to HDMI only goes one way?

 

Meaning, you can convert a scart signal to hdmi, say if you wanted to play a ps2 on a flat screen, but you can't convert an hdmi signal to scart, say if you wanted to plug a ps4 into an old CRT (television)?
