Generally good choice of parts, but what made you chose a GTX1080 Ti when the RTX 3070 is right around the corner?

Well, the person I was building it for wanted a rig built now, and the 30 series cards are pretty much non existent right yet. So we discussed the 20 series, and Ray tracing wasn't something he cared about. So for the sake of another $500 or more for the tiny bit of extra performance from say a 2080 super, we went a little conservative with the 1080 Ti, with the advice to upgrade to a 30 series in a year or so.
