Ideally I would like to game at 1440p and 144hz which I think this system should pull off? I'm not sure if I should invest in a more expensive cpu cooler or not, or if I should get more fans for the case, but advice on any aspect of the theoretical build would be much appreciated!

 

I need bluetooth capabilities too but as far as I know I can just get a dongle for that, if I should go for a specific wireless card then I'd appreciate the suggestion too.

 

If you have any good recommendations for monitors too I'd like to hear them (I think I'll pay for a monitor outside of the budget)

for 1440p get ryzen. ryzen 4th gen will come to shops in a month or two.

 

and for that cpu that cooling wont be enough at all. if runned without oc consider better cooler like Dark rock pro 4, or NHD 14 or nh D 15.

get better airflow case. that case is decent but there are better options like Phanteks p400A/p500A/p300A. corsair 220t airflow, just to name some.

 

I would get slightly higer quality unit. rmx (not rm) is slightly better quality for slightly higher price.

wait for ryzen 5 4600 or 4700x to launc in a month or two. for 1440p gpu is more important than cpu.

I had issues booting from an m.2 in the past (would work sometimes than crash the rest of the time) so I was thinking I'd go back to a sata ssd, but now that I've read up some more do I just need to format the m.2 as a boot drive or something for it to work reliably?

Apart from the cpu cooler the case was the part I was most unsure of so thanks for these pointers.

it will work well without formatting. you could always format it. whatever you like.
