Bluetooth

hey,

 

I was going to connect a bluetooth mouse and keyboard to my pc and just figured out that I dont have bluetooth. I was searching online and was seeing some bluetooth 4.0 adapters for around 5 bucks and bluetooth 5.0 for more than 10 dollars. I was wondering on which bluetooth version I should get? I am going to be mostly just doing work and occasional gaming. I currently a wired mechanical keyboard and mouse but i wanted to connect the bluetooth ones because they are wayy quieter. And also another thing is that when ever I get my next mouse and keyboard, it will be wireless. So right now i'm planning to use the bluetooth Kb & M for typing and work and when ever I dont want to make much noise, and the wired ones for gaming and stuff. I will also be connecting my headphones via bluetooth as well. I would appreciate all the help I can get.

Any adapter will work. All bluetooth 5.0 devices are backwards compatible with bluetooth 4 dongles, and vice versa. Just make sure to get one with working drivers for whatever OS you intend to use.

If I were to get a yen 4.0, would devices with older versions of Bluetooth work?

It should be, yes. All bluetooth versions are technically backwards compatible with previous versions.
