Hey so what should I do about a psu with coil whine

Psu is an Evga BR 750 and it makes this noise depending on what the pc is doing and it’s quite loud what should I do?? It’s 9 months old

not much you can do, other than contact evga about it. they might not do much since coil whine isn't really a problem, just annoying. doesn't hurt to try though.

You might want to try OCCT and see if your system is estable/ok.

 

I have a EVGA Supernova 750 B2, 80+ Bronze that does that kind of sound (and louder) when pulling +180w (gaming) and then shutdown the pc or crash the game and only stop when i power off/on.

Coil whine. It's a cheap PSU on ACRF topology, they do whine. The only way to fix that is to replace the PSU for something on modern LLC resonant platform, tier A/B gold on the tier list.
