Kraken X62 and Noctua Fans

I've had the Kraken x62 for a few years and everything worked as it should.  I just replaced the stock nzxt fans with two Noctua NF-A14 iPPC-2000 PWM fans (4 pin).  They are powered by the daisy chained 3/4 pin connector off of the nzxt cooling block.  The noctua fans will only spin when the cam software is set to 100%.

 

The stock nzxt fans have fan speed control through the same setup.

The Noctua fans have fan speed control through the system fan on the motherboard.

 

Is it not possible for the noctua fan speed to be controlled through the Kraken x62 power delivery or am I missing something?
