Galaxy Book S intel

Hi, 

Would good would the galaxy book S with the Intel Chipset for general productivity and school as well as the occasional bit of light photo editing as I really like the size look of it but don't know about performance. For comparison, how would it compare to the base model of the Surface laptop 3 (i5, 8gb ram 128gb ssd).
