Best chipset for LGA1155?

Z77 is the best for that socket. The next chipset revision changed with the socket to LGA1150.

I currently have a Z77 chipset mobo (MSI-Z77A-GD55) with an i7-3770.

Yeah you are almost maxed out on 1155. Your CPU isn't a K Version so you cannot OC. Else the 3770 is the best you can have.
