Storage configuration advice

L337h4l

So i want to set up a storage system for my PC that uses a 500gb m.2 ssd as a boot drive, a 1tb m.2 nvme (already have) as a cache drive, and 4-10tb hard drive as my main storage. Is there any issues or improvements with this setup? Also i need suggestions for what hard drive to use. My budget is about 400$ USD if any changes are suggested.

CPU: Intel I7 8700K Coffee Lake 6 core 12 threads

MOBO: ASUS ROG Strix Z-370E

GPU: ASUS ROG Strix GTX1080

RAM: 32GB DDR4 G.SKILL TridentZ 3000Mhz

Storage: Kingston 120GB SSD, 1TB WD Blue HDD, and Intel 660p M.2 NVME 1TB

PSU: Seasonic PRIME Ultra 850W Titanium 80+

Cooler: Corsair Hydro H115I Pro

Case: ThermalTake P5

Id personally just keep the drives seprate as its easily to manage, but you can do this pretty easily with something like storage spaces.

Id probably get a cheaper hdd then, something like a 8tb barracuda or shucked drive. SMR shouldn't matter much ehre as the ssd can take the writes if you setup caching that way.

Okay, so instead of having a ssd just use the m.2 and hdd for SMR and storage?
