3600x and 3080

I am looking to upgrade my GPU to a 3080 and I was wondering if I need to upgrade my 3600x too. I mainly play CSGO and call of duty and only play 1024p 4:3 on CSGO and 1440p on cod. Will there be a bottlenecking, when I looked it up I got mixed answers

At low resolutions, the 3600X is not ideal. There are CPUs that would deliver higher FPS ie 10600K, 3600XT.

 

It's a fine CPU, though.

then i'll just say it won;t work as anyone who is overly picky about fps has never been satisfied in the history of mankind

Depends on how much you value your money then. Is it worth it to spends hundred just to chase a few extra FPS? You'll still be getting a fantastic gaming experience far better than most others with the 3600X and 3080.
