Help with entry to custom watercooling

Hey guys & gals,

im looking to install a custom loop in my Dynamic 011 using the corsair XD5 pump, XR7 Rad & XC7 cpu block.
The only reason im chosing corsair is because ive got all corsair LL & QL 120 fans at the moment and would really like all my rgb controlled from a single software and ive started corsair so i may was well continue.

My real question is; Is it possible to mount the XD5 pump to the back of the case (the grill thats too small forr a 120 fan) with a rad above? I can't seem to find any examples of it online so i'm not sure if its just not got the clearance

Any help with the matter would be greatly appreciated, because i wanna know if it'll fit before i go buying the parts and trying it.

Kind Regards,

MJ

I think you'll have to get creative with the mount you may manage, I think even if you were to mount the pump at the lowest possible position, any cylindrical reservoir will collide with the top radiator.

Something like the EKWB Uni holder may allow you to mount it low enough so that it clears the top radiator

You might be able to mount it sideways in that grille if you used a shortish reservoir. Imagine it would be a total pain to bleed though

You can also use this EK pump mount for obscure mounting locations. https://www.ekwb.com/shop/ek-uni-pump-bracket-120mm-fan-vertical

just gotta remember the pump doesn't necessarily need to be at the base of the loop but it needs at a min to be below the res. and make sure your bleed line is the real lowest spot for easy emptying and such.
