Is 500W PSU Enough?

Hey! I just wanted to know if a 500 watt power supply would be good for a GTX 1650 Super (MSI Gaming X) and i5 4690k. im thinking of upgrading my parts this christmas but i wont if my PSU doesnt have enough watts. 

 

The specs would be: 

  • i5 4690k
  • GTX 1650 Super 
  • MSI Z97 GAMING 5 (MOBO)
  • EVGA 500W
  • Samsung 960 EVO 500GB (Not M.2)
  • 2x 4GB RAM

500W is more than enough for that build. Which power supply is it exactly, though?

It says EVGA 500W 80 PLUS on it. so im not too sure, thank you! i kept stressing that it wouldn't be enough haha, and also does every graphics card go into any graphics card slot?

The top 16X slot on the motherboard is the best place to put the GPU.

it's a pretty crappy PSU, but for a 1650 super it should hold until you can get a replacement.

Pretty crap, but it shouldn't explode with that gpu. Replace it when possible.

thank you! when i get a replacement should i stay with 500w psu or go to 850w? what do you think?

an 850w PSU for that is a complete waste of money. just focus on getting a good 550w PSU and you'll be fine.
