EVGA rtx 3080 XC3 ULTRA 320W power limit

So I was planning on buying the evga rtx 3080 xc3 ultra but I have heard that lot of people are saying that it has a power limit of 320w and cannot be raised even if you raise the power slider to 108%. Is there any reason why this is the case?

I believe most 3080's have a power limit in that range. Bios modding is required to raise it.

it seems to be most efficient at 275w~

 

if you do want that extra 7-10% performance get a card with 3 8-pins

 

For turing, EVGA upped the power limit on a new bios shortly after release

The asus tuf rtx 3080 OC has a power limit of 375w without bios modding. Im pretty sure evga could do the same.
