Oneplus 8 vs Note 9

Raz Ghost

Looking to retire my galaxy s8 plus after 4 years and have had my eyes on the oneplus 8 since launch but now that I am gearing up to buy one I can see despite note even being half a year old it already has £100's wiped off with amazon selling it £150 off MSRP and ebay selling them at £250 off.

So now I've starting thinking maybe the oneplus is a bad idea. I realise linus daily drives a note 9 and I can pick up a new one for only £400 so now I'm considering that.

What would you buy if you had £400/$450 to buy a phone?

I bought the OnePlus 7T Pro McLaren last week, but I am in the States.  I love Oneplus, how light the skin is over Android.  I'd say go for the 8.

Full disclosure.... I haven't had a Galaxy since the s5 so I may be out of touch with them.

Wait 2 weeks for the Oneplus 8T announcement.

Regardless, Oneplus 8 (Oneplus 7t is just as good, if it's slightly cheaper) is still a very great device. I have Oneplus since 2 years now almost (Oneplus 6T after my Samsung S7 edge, now Oneplus 8 Pro).

I do not regret going for this, and would do it again.

Depends upon your needs. Do you play resource intensive games?? or Do you prefer the latest and greatest hardware and software features??? or Do you want the Oxygen OS???, then you might wanna pay extra and buy the Oneplus 8. But if you don't care about those stuff and need a Samsung flagship, a headphone jack, like S Pen, prefer trading off new features for a cheaper price, then buy a Note 9.(Note 9 is already 2 years old, so I might not be surprised if it doesen't receive the android 11 update)
