Need help with mother board

I am trying to install a Gigabyte B550 Arous Pro, and in the box there was this square looking thing that is like a rubber. 

 

What is this used for? Does it go under the motherboard where the mother board goes into the case?

What the heck. Looks like it has some double sided adhesive on it as well. Is there any mention of it in the manual? Did this come from the motherboard or from the case?
