Case Tier list

TheJedi

I would love to start a case Tier list on this forum as we have them for other components. I feel that cases are looked down on as less important components of a build whereas they actually hold a lot of importance.

So I would like to start a tier list, I don't know much about cases myself, I know that mesh ones are better for airflow but increased noise whereas, solid front cases are better for noise reduction but increased thermals.

I would really appreciate some help from other community members to help with this as there are so many cases to choose and different reasons why they would be chosen.

I would like to do it a bit differently though. I would like to rank the cases by budget of system rather than a letter tier system.

Thanks guys

System

it would be hard, availability, change in pricing, too many factors

and different people have different needs, so it's hard to tier them either

-sigh- feeling like I'm being too negative lately

^ this.

Also, it would be hard deciding on the factors to if a case is good or not. Do you base it on airflow, or ease of building, or looks (which are subjective)?

It’s an idea but it’s difficult to implement.

It would basically be multiple tier lists, based on each of those (plus noise levels). Like you said, difficult to implement and to even maintain since you would have to do tests for all those criteria and be basically staring at spreadsheets most the time after getting the results.

In other words, a case tier list is impractical and nearly impossible unless you only focus on one aspect. Personally, an airflow tier list would be cool (pun intended) but I just use GamersNexus charts at this point since they tend to favor airflow too.
