G-Sync Issues

EndoHash

Not too sure if this is the correct place to post this, but I am having some issues with my new G-Sync monitor.

I have just purchased a Asus ROG Strix XG248Q.

The second I enable G-Sync for the monitor, some games for me launch, but knock my monitor signal out.

So for example, I will boot GTA V, and my monitor will go black and say no input, which is strange

The second I disable G-Sync, it works fine and the signal stays

I also have some issues with G-Sync on watching Netflix in browser with constant stuttering and even scrolling in Chrome

Not sure if I am missing a setting or anything

Any advice or help is 100% appreciated!

Thanks

enable "freesync" in the OSD (monitor's menu)

it happens when you turn on Gsync but panel isnt in adaptive sync mode

-sigh- feeling like I'm being too negative lately

Running a RTX 2080 Super

Yeah, using the DP cable supplied in the box

This seems to have lasted since i setup the monitor 2 days ago, so has been rebooted a fair few times since

hmm... i have this issue but only because my panel isnt running adaptive sync until i turned it off and on again

you can see if it's similar issue

So after messing around with a few bits and bobs, I think I might've solved the issue

I tried disbaling adaptive sync and renabling like you said, and then turned off V-Sync in Nvidia Control Panel

Now my games seem to be working fine, super weird

In your case, do you need to disbale and enable adaptive sync every time you turn on the monitor?

my monitor does it automatically when it detects gsync (but it doesnt zzz)

there's no toggle for me to do it, but i noticed restarting it makes it switch
