I like hertz.

At least 280Hz FullHD or 60Hz 1440p there is no question. FullHD is not as bad as the era of 480p.

Also I'd go for Hz instead of ultra-wide, though not really a gamer.

Hz

UW makes games look funny, and i dont like straining my neck by constantly having to look towards left side because not all UI, no matter games or websites, are well designed for non 16:9

if i want immersion, probably get VR

for multitasking, 2 separate screen is better

-sigh- feeling like I'm being too negative lately

I used to have a UW but at the time, the majority of games I played (wasn't many at the time) did not support UW aspect ratios and stretched the video out (Fallout 4 vanilla, BO3 WoT). It was cool to have at the time but decided to go back to a regular 16:9 monitor and finally after a couple years, upgraded to the appropriate one.

Otherwise, for me, I would rather go with hertz over UW, it's all subjective.

Personally I don't care too much for either.

In a perfect world, I would get a 16:10 or maybe even a bit taller high resolution display, with good color accuracy.

If it's a higher Hz: cool. Most I do on my PC doesn't need a higher refresh rate and extra width doesn't do me much good in most applications I use.

personally would like a taller ultrawide, while the normal 21:9 ultrawides are very good it's not quite enough vertical space
