when do you know you can bake a motherboard?

when do you know you can bake a motherboard? My mobo don't post, it starts, restarts and stays on but with no post and no beep. even without ram, and cpu it keeps doing this, but if i plug out the cpu power cable and starts it, it starts and stays on but stil, with no post or beep. Do you understand what baking a PCB actually does or does not do?

no, but then i know if it is not working at all or if it just some solder that has some bad contact, but do you have some idea what it could be? (watch the video)

If your motherboard suffers from bad contact, that can fix it (temporarily).

But if the chip itself is bad, you got to replace it.

It can also be BIOS corruption, which you need to replace / reflash the bios chip.

In the majority of cases, baking does more harm than good.

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

 

Primary PC:

i7 8086k - EVGA Z370 Classified K - G.Skill Trident Z RGB - WD SN750 - Jedi Order Titan Xp - Hyper 212 Black (with RGB Riing flair) - EVGA G3 650W - dual booting Windows 10 and Linux - Black and green theme, Razer brainwashed me.

Draws 400 watts under max load, for reference.

 

How many watts do I need? ATX 3.0 & PCIe 5.0 spec, PSU misconceptions, protections explained, group reg is bad

when there's no other option than the bin, that's when you can try baking it

because high chance it'll get worse when baked.
