Question about epic games launcher security

Nalgasp3ludas

So, I dont use epic games launcher alot, just when my buddies want to play fortnite. Problem is I noticed Ive been getting hacked alot. No changes are made in my account but I see a ton of people being added to my friends list. Like 2 days ago I got an email saying that the guy bought my account but couldnt change stuff because I had 2 step verification, and if I could help him.... I fortnunately dont have any credit/debit cards on the launcher but Im very worried because the password was extremely secured. Nothing that could give it away, just random letters and numbers, I had to write it down on paper.

Anyone else having this type of problems? Ive emailed epic games a few times but no responses... this also happens quite alot on steam but I get updates all the time because I use steam guard. Idk if I have an insane security breach on my pc, I really dont know what to do.. I really need help with this guys. Hope someone can tell me what to do and please excuse my english.

Thanks alot

This sounds more like you have malware on your PC and/or your email-accounts have been hacked.

Your PC is compromised,i recommend to get all the storage devices out and wipe them clean on a different machine and in a secure software environment.

You should change all of your passwords. Use unique passwords for each site/service. (trustworthy password manages might help)

You should probably change your email address as well.

Use 2FA wherever available.

Check your computer for malware.

Don't visit dodgy sites promising free vBucks, free games or whatever else. Don't click on dodgy emails asking you to sign in to sites.

Thats what I do, I use different passwords, pretty much I type random stuff and write it on paper. Ive never open any suspicious mail, but I do get a lot, specially the netlix one where my payment was "declined"

Of course it could have.

But you realy should whipe the system and than install it fresh with an antivirus. I use KasperskyPro + Spybot S&D and my System is clean for Years.

People will tell you that Win Defender is enough, but thats not the case.
