Vertical or Horizontal?

Noctua Fan Fan

Budget (including currency): n/a

Country: UK

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Any

Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc):

O-11 Dynamic (white)

12 x Noctua (OG colour fans)

Soft tube loop, clear liquid

All fittings and pump are black thus far.

I'm expanding on the Noctua theme in my PC and getting some custom cables made in Noctua colours. I really want to make this a cool as themed build.

The issue is the way it is now, with a vertical mount, you dont see the cabling too well compared if it were mounted horizontally.

Aesthetically speaking, do you think its worth hiding the waterblock on a horizontal mount and show off cables, or the opposite?

SETUP:

  • RTX 2080ti OCd @ +150 core, +1000 memory (water)
  • Aorus B550 Elite (rev1)

Personal Bests:

  • Cinebench R15: 1785  1883 (Aug 2020)
  • Cinebench R20: 4136  4243 7125 7550 (Feb 2021)

Keep it vertical if you've full cover blocked the GPU. Just run the cables more conspicuously.

Good idea! :) Thanks
