Ryzen 7 2700x or 3600x

Hello guys I just found that my cpu ryzen 7 1700 has faulty memory controller I don't know how happened anyway I will send it for rma and now I have to buy a new cpu I give max 200 euros 

 

I have gtx 1060 6gb evga 550 b3 b450 tomahawk max gskill Trident z RGB 16gb 3200 should I go with 2700x or 3600x what do you think ? 

 

I think 2700x it will be better choice but I want to hear and other suggestions thanks for everyone who can help me have a nice day!

Depends on what you're doing, but in most cases I'd suggest going for the 3600, over the 2700X.

Depends on what you do with your PC.

 

3600X is better for gaming. 2700X may pull ahead in some workloads.

 

But if you also OC and can crank up the FCLK on the 3600X it may even beat the 2700X in most scenarios, workloads included.

the 3600 is better than the 2700x in most workloads unless they're purely multi threaded. 

the 3600 is a better pick, also unless the 3600 (x) is similarly/ same cost, don't bother with it.

For most uses I'd pick the 3600(X). Only if you run Cinebench or similar might the 2700X stay ahead.

If you want to do stream ? Or some editing is better to go with 2700x ?

I'd say 3600 still, as for streaming, if you have a 1650 super or better, you can just use nvec to offload that work to the gpu's hardware encoder, if you don't, the 3600 should still handle streaming quite well.

3600x for some reasons 
new and better 
way faster because of zen 2 while the 2700x is older
better and faster in ram support
still the price is different but if u r not a content creator go for the 3600x if u r after the over clocking if not go for the 3600 50$ cheaper than the x

As others ahve noted above, the 3600X should be better in most workloads. Also should have better memory support on the mobi with the Zen 2 CPU, whereas the 2700X is limited IIRC to around 3200 on most mobos.

performance in games at 1080p favors the 3600 by 2-10% depending on the game. 2700x is better in purely multithreaded content creation and other workloads, but if you can utilize some decent memory then the 3600 should win there too. usually zen+ doesnt like anything over 3200mhz but 3600mhz is good on zen 2 and you can dial in some fast timings.
