The reds don’t have a tactile bump so they are smooth all the way down, while browns are more similar to blues in that they do have a tactile bump, though they are quieter than blues.

off the top of my head, specific spec may be wrong (like actuation force and actuation point, but it's relative):

red = linear with 45g actuation force

blue = tactile, clicky, 50g force

brown = tactile, non-clicky, 45g force

black = linear, i think 60g force?

silver/speed = linear, 40g force, 1.2mm actuation vs 1.5mm on other switch

-sigh- feeling like I'm being too negative lately

The REDS are linear while the Browns are tactile. Basically what @Moonzy said.

I will recommend an NHu12s (or an NHd15 (maybe)) for your PC build. Quote or @ me @Prodigy_Smit for me to see your replies.

Reds are linear, not smooth. No cherry switch is smooth except lubed vintage blacks.

Isn't the actuation of normal cherry at about 2mm and total travel 4mm ?
