What Time Should I get to Microcenter to Campout for 3090

Recommended Posts

Depends entirely on the location. Downtown Chicago? Get there at 9pm the night before, and bring a space heater and a tent. Marietta, Georgia? Show up at 9:30 am. Also, it's completely unknown what stores will have cards (and in what quantity) at launch. If today's 3080 release is anything to go by, it's going to be pretty sporadic.

Always remember the 80/80 rule of project management. That is, the first 80% of the project takes 80% of the time, and the last 20% of the project takes the other 80% of the time.

For big launches the items are commonly reserved either as you walk in the door or even in line in front of the store. If anything you're less likely to get one doing that.

¯\_(ツ)_/¯

your lucky if that goes through, that is one of the few ones that there's already a WB for! I'm afraid if I don't get one on launch, it will be next year (literally) before inventory stabilizes and I'll be to get one without camping out. People are more less treating this as the second coming of christ and camping out hours and hours in advance.

Guy at my work went 2 hours prior to opening (in Missouri) and said there were literal people camping.  MC issued vouchers to ensure the line wasn't skipped and ran out of stock way before he made his way into the doors.

He waited around for someones card to get declined, that didn't happen either

At least the night before I would assume
