PS 5 (Digital) v/s Xbox Series S

[Which one of them would you prefer if...................]

I am planning to buy a new console for myself and this is going to be my first console.

I've played before in consoles in the past but I've not owned one.

I'm from India and the cost of the consoles are way greater than what it is in other countries. Xbox Series S (INR- 34,990 ie.,$475.52) and PS5 digital (INR- 30,000 ie., $407.70)

Some key points -

  • I don't have a 4K TV or monitor now and think that would also not get one in the near future
  • I am not a serious gamer and I'm also not gonna look for each and every minor in-game detail
  • The budget is really a concern for me
  • 1080p resolution is enough for me

I am also gonna buy a laptop capable of "light gaming" and hence I think that XBOX Game Pass is really a good deal ( not sure if it is available in India or not)

Which choice makes more sense ???????????????????????

And by the way PS4 pro works just fine for me.

If you are gonna buy a laptop anyways why not pour the extra funds into it so it is capable of serious gaming? Or just a desktop if you don't actually need the mobility of a laptop. Getting a xbox + laptop would be a bit counter intuitive as with gamepass you'd just be playing the same games on 2 devices instead of on just one better device.

sounds like you should just get a nice laptop or something, the new consoles are for 4k games with raytracing at high quality which would be overkill for ya.
