Should I get the ps5 regular of ps5 all digital

AviSeth

I am new to console gaming except for the nintendo switch and I am wondering if the disk drive is worth it in the ps5 or if I should go all digital.

Two things to consider:

1. Do you care about owning your games physically, either so you can resell them later, or if you're a collector.

2. Do you want to play 4K UHD Blu-Rays.

Main PC:

AMD Ryzen 7 5800X • Noctua NH-D15 • MSI MAG B550 Tomahawk • 2x8GB G.skill Trident Z Neo 3600MHz CL16 • MSI VENTUS 3X GeForce RTX 3070 OC • Samsung 970 Evo 1TB • Samsung 860 Evo 1TB • Cosair iCUE 465X RGB • Corsair RMx 750W (White)

Peripherals/Other:

ASUS VG27AQ • G PRO K/DA • G502 Hero K/DA • G733 K/DA • G840 K/DA • Oculus Quest 2 • Nintendo Switch (Rev. 2)

Laptop (Dell XPS 13):

Intel Core i7-1195G7 • Intel Iris Xe Graphics • 16GB LPDDR4x 4267MHz • 512GB M.2 PCIe NVMe SSD • 13.4" OLED 3.5K InfinityEdge Display (3456x2160, 400nit, touch).

Got any questions about my system or peripherals? Feel free to tag me (@bellabichon) and I'll be happy to give you my two cents.

PSA: Posting a PCPartPicker list with no explanation isn't helpful for first-time builders :)

I barely spent any money on games for the PS4. I would buy a used game for an "x" amount, and upon finishing it I would then resell for either the same price or just a bit less. Granted, I don't play online since only the exclusive games interest me (the rest I play on PC), so when I'm done with the story mode I let it go. I will, however, likely be getting the digital PS5, since sales on the PSN are quite decent and happen often.

Regular. It's backwards compatible. Buy cheap disks from eBay, Facebook, or GameStop. And obviously, you can always download them from PS Store. But why pay $60 when you can get it for $15 from an angry parent from Facebook.

Sony has confirmed that PS4 games will be playable on the PS5, meaning that the PlayStation 5 is backwards compatible with the PS4. ... You'll also be able to insert physical PS4 discs into the PS5 and play them on the next-gen console.

Ya like collecting physical things? Get the disk if not then don't. If you got ps4 disk games and want to play them on the ps5 disk it is. Also used disk games tend to be a pretty good price if it's a common game after a relatively short time.

I like game boxes so I'll personally be getting the one which accepts disks but aside from that I think there's not much reason to get the regular

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

Primary PC:

i7 8086k - EVGA Z370 Classified K - G.Skill Trident Z RGB - WD SN750 - Jedi Order Titan Xp - Hyper 212 Black (with RGB Riing flair) - EVGA G3 650W - dual booting Windows 10 and Linux - Black and green theme, Razer brainwashed me.

Draws 400 watts under max load, for reference.

How many watts do I needATX 3.0 & PCIe 5.0 spec, PSU misconceptions, protections explainedgroup reg is bad

I love trading games back in, games that i really love i tend to buy the digital collector's edition to get all of the goodies (i know that i'll never want to trade them in) but most stuff i trade back in on my next purchase, not to mention the fact that games are often cheaper at the stores compared to the Sony digital marketplace, also i just don't like limiting myself like that.

If you need the disc drive for movies then get the regular version if not go digital. I haven't bought a disc in years, I have a old dell that I use in the living with a blu ray drive to watch movies so I pre ordered the digital version already.

I don't like dealing with cheap ass people hence me not doing physical discs. Fair price of $20 and someone offers you $5 pisses you off after hearing that for years on end is why I went digital. $400 for the digital console is a steal

No cpu mobo or ram atm
