Broken pci-e port or broken card?

xpresive

Hey everyone!

My pc was working fine at home, i have RX580 Strix. After I moved my PC to other city in a car, my pc started doing wierd lines and square glitch things. It would restart drivers, or even worse, totally black out and I need to restart pc. I repluged GPU, and then all of issues dissapeared, but for some time, after some time passes it does all same again. Gpu was fine for whole time, after I moved, all of this started happening, could be the thing, that while transporting, pci-e slot got damaged or my graphic card got damaged?

Well, one of the two might've happened.

Some graphics card issues can be solved by uninstalling and reinstalling your GPU drivers. If you haven’t done this yet (or haven’t used Display Driver Uninstaller to remove drivers), I’d recommend using Display Driver Uninstaller, found here: https://www.guru3d.com/files-details/display-driver-uninstaller-download.html (download links at bottom of page) and I’d recommend using the “Clean and Restart” option.

Once this is done, you can download new drivers by clicking on the links below and selecting your hardware.

Nvidia: http://www.nvidia.com/Download/index.aspx

AMD: https://www.amd.com/en/support

However, given that this might be a hardware fault, it's possible that reinstalling drivers isn't going to help (it's worth a shot)

Maybe try switching PCIe slots to see if the problem continues on a different slot.

It is not software, because glitch lines happens in bios start up screen, so it is probably pci-e port that is kinda broken, but i would want to know if its mobo or card itself, bcs i could RMA my motherboard

I once had a issue after moving my pc in my car, took hours and what fixed it was removing the drivers with ddu and reinstalling them. Makes no sense I know but worth a shot?

But did you had issues when starting your PC? Drivers are only loaded after BIOS screen, and my BIOS screen glitches already.

Will try, but my card cooling will be obscured. I have NZXT H500 case and ATX board. Good thing I have ATX board, atleast one spare x16 slot.

Sadly, GPU does same. So it is gpu, but what could have been damaged in transport? I havent seen any crack or anything.
