Ok so then grab a third party disk tool like Minitool, and try deleting it from there.

That was easy. Now I need to right click and " change letter and path " right?

There, windows was pumping out a bunch of errors and denying access to stuff but it seems to have worked. https://prnt.sc/uigdro

Make sure to hit apply once you change things. Minitool doesn't automatically run, only when you hit apply.

Once you've formatted the whole drive, Yes just assign a letter and path!

@Moonzy @BrinkGG When I was installing the creation tool, I got those windows errors I mentioned before again. The window popped open of the drive but it was all white and said drive was inaccessible, then spouted some sort of security error saying I didn't have access, but wouldn't give it even though I am admin. Directed me to the " security " tab of the drive that doesn't exist. :|

Edit : it finished and it says the drive is ready to go, but I fear trying to install windows with it in fear that it didn't install properly.

One thing to note is that flash drives aren't infallible, it's actually common for them to fail, so if one misbehaves it can also just be that it's failing. As a result you never want to store the only copy of anything important on one. That's valid for any storage media, but for some reason people tend to expect flash drives to be kind of infallible probably because they don't suffer from the mechanical fragility of hard drives. But it still doesn't mean they don't fail, and low quality ones can have much higher failure rates than hard drives.

"Good" examples for that are USB drives that you get as gifts at fairs and such, a data recovery company has videos on YT saying how bad those are, basically using factory reject chips that didn't pass QC. They make dirt cheap flash drives with them that are essentially single use, i.e. data is loaded onto them, verified, and if it's good then they're given out since their only purpose is to get the content that's on them distributed, but they might fail instantly or very quickly if you try to reuse them. But to the average guy a flash drive is a flash drive and they're just happy not to have had to buy one so they're putting too much trust in them.
