Its a good unit, pitty it has the usual seasonic fan. Which is usually where you will find other units being better.

What makes the Whisper M a better unit than the Focus PX?

Noise performance, multirail akd the fan iirc.

Honestly the focus PX isnt that high on the list of units id recommend, id look at all the other units instead.

Bitfenix Whisper is a very good unit too, despite being practically stock CWT GPU. It is still worth paying 10 pounds more for Focus PX ? Maybe. But 36 pounds more for Corsair HX ? Not really.

Just the warranty that's 3 years longer and the Platinum rating for the HX is worth at least that in real money over the 10 years of the warranty period.

All depends on how people look at things really, today or next week or if they think about the long road... Forward thinking..... In this case 10 years.

It all adds up over time.

Spending less now will cost a person MORE MONEY in the long run so they really wouldn't be saving anything.

Even say $1 a month in savings over a Gold PSU over a 10 year period is $120... The HX would almost pay for itself over the warranty period over the Gold rated PSU.

No way you'll hit 1$ a month of savings with Platinum certified PSU over Gold certified one. 0.5$ a month ? Maybe, if you game on it all day or use it for rendering or smth. That's why Platinum PSU may worth it over Gold one if it's like 10 bucks more if you are going to utilize your PC to an extent where your electricity bills would hit like 200$+ for the PC alone. Most people wouldn't.
