Btw if you buy this for games, then it's not a balanced one either. Too much CPU, not enough GPU.

depending on how you match it, using exact same specs is hard cause the 9700f is expensive. a build thats objectively better in a lot of ways just with a slightly lesser cpu would be cheaper but for someone who is dead set on a 9700 its hard to get cheaper

i need to check craigslist. after the 3070 has been out for a bit, i bet that 2080TIs will go for 400-500 us. There is no point to sell for more than the 3070, and its used. 500 max for used 2080ti, end of january. now would be a great time for a scrapyard wars.

look at reddit.com/r/hardwareswap, craigslist and ebay are crap for prices although actual sold listings on ebay appear to have dropped too

Surprisingly, it's pretty much the price you're gonna pay when building it. I matched every single part near perfectly. The RAM shows as DDR4 2666 in the bestbuy link, same with the B365 motherboard. The cases are different but I mean, it's very close and a case is a case. The keyboard and mouse you receive might be $10 to $20 cheaper as well. And you can bank on them most likely sending you this exact power supply or something even cheaper that they had laying around since 2019 before inflation started.

Now you can definitely build an equivalent PC, say an AMD build, for a little cheaper. But it won't be as cheaper as you might expect outside of inflation. Because I'd personally target a much better PSU, which would tack on some price, same with the motherboard for a Ryzen 7 CPU.
