COD Warzone low fps.

StarsMars

My performance seems random in this game. I followed an fps guide that helped. the guide

Sometimes I will get 30 to 55 fps.

Sometimes I will float around 70 to 100 fps.

Always looks like it has a grey film over it.

running a 3700x and 2070super at 1440p

Is this game just a steaming load?

Well, it is CoD...

But really, you can always lower settings further and see if that makes a difference. Performance may also vary on map/location? You should also check for anything running in the background while you're playing, since those can eat up resources.

A girl who loves to love.

RR1 in sig plays on a 1440p 144hz panel, averaging about 50-70 FPS with no dips lower than that on a far less robust system.  RR2 in sig @ 1600x900 with my OCs remains at an average of 120fps.  Both on SSDs.

I have other PCs in the house that I "lan party" Warzone with friends - had it on an HDD on one of them.  Ran like shit (Shrute, in sig) so I slapped in a budget no name SSD and it runs great.

They're pretty low for the hardware. It's always in the city center. never the same performance

Yea, it doesn't make any sense to me

Before I go down other avenues, can you use task manager and monitor the CPU per core usage (game uses all 16 threads on my R7 1700s) and your GPU utilization in graph?  Id be curious to see what dips, when your frames dip (I.E. frames hit 30 FPS what is your CPU and GPU doing during that time)

I’ll do that later tonight. Thanks

I tried to get the performance stats while having the mentioned problems.

But it was running fine this time. I noticed that when it launches in fullscreen without me having to change it, it runs fine.

Most of the time it launches in windowed borderless at 50% render scale. I'll switch it to fullscreen 100%. That's usually when I have problems. I will relaunch the game and it usually reverts to windowed, causing the problem again.

TLDR; COD doesn't like switching from windowed to fullscreen and I don't know how to keep it from launching in windowed.

If you're running any overlays it'll impact performance greatly.
