Lancool II Mesh side intakes

Knochey

I am currently considering buying the Lancool 2 Mesh case. In addition I decided to use the Liquid Freezer 280mm. The radiator would be installed in the front with 2x 140mm Noctua fans.

For the exhaust 1x 120mm Noctua fans on the back and 1x 140mm Noctua fans on the upper side of the case.

Since my graphics card now only gets the warm air from the radiator, I'm wondering if it would make sense to use fans for the side intakes (see picture below). Since the power supply is also located there I wonder if this would have a significant influence on my cooling performance.

If you look at this thread

The CPU torture test that GN did on the case lists the temperatures you could see.

May I ask, why so many Noctua fans? I realize they are very quiet, and I am sure they move much more air (CFM rating).

And you can do what you want with it.

Personally, I wouldn't mount a fan in the bottom back, all it is doing is blowing air onto your GPU. (unless your GPU AIO doesn't water cool the GPU's memory??)

Just remember, adding more fans doesn't always improve temperature

Also, this case does have the preinstalled fans hooked up to a fan hub (which can have 6 in total hooked up to it.)

I hope it goes well for you.
