Anyone else experience drifting on the Nintendo Switch Pro Controller?

GamerBlake

Hey everyone,

Ive been playing a lot of Mario Kart 8 Deluxe lately and I use a Pro Controller to play it but lately I’ve been noticing my characters drift to the left when they should be going straight.

Ive tried recalibration in the settings but the problem remains.

Has anyone else experienced this problem? If so have you found a way to fix it?

Im pretty bummed if it’s unfixable since Pro Controllers aren’t cheap and I’ve had mine for less than a year.

Thanks!

Does this help at all? https://www.nintendolife.com/news/2020/08/guide_how_to_fix_a_drifting_nintendo_switch_pro_controller

If you do need to repair, Ifixit appears to have some guides available for replacing parts.

I am far from an expert in this so please correct me if I’m wrong.

I’m actually afraid of opening it up and tinkering with the components.

Im afraid I will break it even further. 😔

Either you want to fix it or not, you can't fix internal issues by staring at it and hoping

If it is already broken enough that you can't play properly, how can you break it any worse? I would think it is worth the chance to actually fix it.  Also, if it is less than a year old, get ahold of Nintendo and see if they will warranty it, before doing anything else.
