i would recommend waitng for the new cpus and gpus, even if you arent going to buy the new suff, prices of older generaton cpus and gpus will be cheaper after the release

My recommendation is that if you want/need it now, don't bother waiting.

There's literally always a new CPU or GPU architecture on the horizon. If you're always waiting for the next thing, you'll never end up buying.

With that in mind, if a new product launch has already been announced and will be coming out within a couple months? Sure, wait. Or you can start buying some components but hold out for the GPU specifically, if you really want to.

But me? If I was in the market, I'd buy what's available now.

If you have a serviceable system (read: adequate, not costing you money), you're likely better off waiting.

Given that you had to ask, you're probably better off waiting.

One consideration if you REALY need something servicable now - build out the system you want but use a cheap APU as a placeholder for the CPU and/or GPU. Sell the APU later. There are Athlon 200GEs for like $40ish on ebay and/or craigslist. You can probably flip that for similar to what you paid. This COULD be a downgrade from your current CPU though.
