can i play pc game pass games at 144fps

Hi, I have started a game pass subscription so i can play mfs 2020, forza etc on my win 10 PC. Am i right in believing that if I download games through game pass, I am limited to only 60fps? So i would have to buy the game on steam or wherever to get 144fps. And also would this change when next gen consoles come out?

No you can get 144fps depending on the system you are playing on.

Ok thanks, it is just on mfs, i cant put the framerate cap any higher than 60. Probably meant to only go to that. Also when i sort game pass games by -120 fps- no games appear.

If your PC can handle 144 fps you can change the settings in game the console versions and PC versions are different in settings

I think that is because on XBOX all games are limited to 60 fps

Nope that isn't 100% true some games are uncapped and the Xbox one has a 120hz option only works on uncapped games

Console Games & PC Games coming to PC are still ported or tweaked to work best... even the Microsoft Gamepass ones,.. if made for PC or not,... PC versions (typically) have options to tweak basics where a console can't. iE Resolutions/Refresh/Vsync/Gamma/Motionblur/Game Graphic select'ables...
Forza games on PC are a good example,.. where the Graphical options menu allows for all day fun if tweaking & tuning graphics is your thing.

But some games also just have a 60FPS Max regardless of PC power, Vsync disabled or otherwise..
