What are those and should I change the thermal paste on them?

I thought I should change the thermal paste on my laptop and I noticed those, should I update the paste on them too?

Yes I would do so if they had it on there previously, little odd why they didn't use a thermal pad over those inductors but paste will also work.

those are probably inductors

 

you could re-paste them tho i doubt you need to, still looks fine
