As soon as i connect my mic i can hear a hissing sound in my headphone

Ignore recording or voice calls, as soon as i insert my pic i can hear hisssss sound in my headphones, any idea how to stop it? even if i disable the mic the hisss sound won't go away until i remove the mic from the PC. 

i know its a low end mic, but why would inserting a mic cause the hiss in your headphone i can't for the life of me figure it out

I'm not really sure.

 

One idea is that the bias voltage on the microphone jack is leaking into other channels somehow – perhaps the impedance of the microphone is too low or the biased conductor is being shorted to another conductor. Depending on the wiring this could inject current into other signal lines.

happens both on the backside or the front ports on my PC, my motherboard even has the onboard dedicated audio, this is the first time this has happened, i've used headphones before that didn't cause this.

Do you own any other hearphones/earbuds or mics you can test with to disqualify causes?

i've been using this since 7 years no problems


i accidentally cut off the mic wire while fixing it so i had to get the new one, i've used other headphones which comes with mic before they never caused me this issue, this is the first.

but i've always used in-ear for audio and a dummy headphone for mic
