Hey guys. So today I bought a SSD for my computer. after installing it and restarting my PC I got a Disk ERROR and it asked me to enter a media file or boot from another device(somethin like that).

After trying to plug in my USB woth the windows inataller on it. I installed a fresh windows. Now the new SSD is the windows installation Drive. BUT for some reason I don't see my 1TB SSD that has been connected to my PC for over 2 years and worked completely fine. Now. Its not showing up in BIOS. When I go to drive manager(i think thats how its called) i only see my new SSD. It is connected correctly I DIDN'T TOUCH ANYTHING. JUST INSTALLED THE NEW SSD M.2 and thats it.

I have a ab350gaming MotherBoard

And litreally IDK what to do. Please help guys. Ill provide any information needed.

Thanks.

Check the cable power and data cable. Be sure they are plugged in all the way. Can even try a new data cable, the can go bad

If this doesn't work, confirm the drive is bad by installing it in another different PC.

So you just installed an m.2 ssd and now the ssd you already have in there (connected to a sata port) doesnt work? If so, move it to a different sata port on the motherboard. Adding an m.2 ssd makes the motherboard disable certain ports (see below) so you have to move the ssd to one of the ports that is still active.

I am far from an expert in this so please correct me if I’m wrong.

Then something happened to your ssd. Make sure the power and sata cables are properly secured on both ends. If they are, check it in another system if possible. If it doesnt show in the other system, it is likely broken. There is a possibility it is something else, but I dont know what it could be.
