How to change fan speed

So I have an RGB fan and the fan hub came with a remote but the speed of the fan seems to be low there is buttons on the remote but nothing changes is the fan just slow or is it running at slow speed

I don’t know from rgb fans but I understand  there are a lot of different kinds of them and they work differently from each other quite often. Model of fan and controller may be needed.  

Not a pro, not even very good.  I’m just old and have time currently.  Assuming I know a lot about computers can be a mistake.

Without link impossible to say for sure, but from description sounds like its cheap RGB fan which uses proprietary connector.
