Is it bad to put your PC on the floor instead of putting it on the top of the table/desk?

Its not bad for the PC as long as you aren't choking off any fans on the PSU or other parts of the case with carpet.  The only real disadvantage of putting the PC on the floor would be more dust getting into the PC.

This card was in a closed case (With poor airflow, but no filters) on the floor for two years

that rust and corrosion is caused by Sea Salt

please ignore the sandals

Rust I understand, but do you actually get salt buildup?

Also, does the humidity change that drastically from floor to desk? Surely the corrosion will happen on the desk also.

My desk has a irregular shape because it is a tree log cutted into 2 cm so the width is not uniformed and the length(103 cm) is short for most people so i put mine under the table plus, my case is cheap and generic one with no case fans, generic built-in/bundled and top mounted PSU,and metal side panels with one fan grill near the GPU.
