Looking for recommendations for Video Streaming Machine

NubbyNathan

Budget (including currency): $1,500 (USD), less is better though

Country: United States

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: OBS

Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc):

Hey, I'm sorry if this is the wrong location for this thread, but it seemed the most applicable. I've been asked by my employer to build a machine for video streaming and I'm not entirely sure what is necessary and where I should focus my money. The computer won't need to be able to play any games, just to take in three camera signals, send them through OBS for formatting, green-screen, etc. and stream them to YouTube. I've never built a PC for this use case so I don't know if I need a good GPU, how much RAM I'm going to need, etc. Also, recommendations on capture cards would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for any help and wisdom you may have.

Just as a general rule, you will want to encode with h.264. Focus on a high end Ryzen. Minimal end on the GPU. I'll have time later to put together a full build if you would like.

ask me about my homelab

on a personal quest convincing the general public to return to the glory that is 12" laptops.

cheap and easy cable management is my fetish.

IK i went overboard on cpu, but this will last a good while.

It is a mini itx, so it can take up as little space as possible, but still be powerful.

I could use some help with this!

please, pm me if you would like to contribute to my gpu bios database (includes overclocking bios, stock bios, and upgrades to gpus via modding)
