Ram cant go past 3600mhz

Hi,

I have gskill ram with 4266mhz, it wont start with xmp at 4266mhz so i set 4000 to get it running, it boots and its running at 3600mhz even if i set 3800mhz

what board? what cpu? 

specs in general?

PC: Motherboard: ASUS B550M TUF-Plus, CPU: Ryzen 3 3100, CPU Cooler: Arctic Freezer 34, GPU: GIGABYTE WindForce GTX1650S, RAM: HyperX Fury RGB 2x8GB 3200 CL16, Case, CoolerMaster MB311L ARGB, Boot Drive: 250GB MX500, Game Drive: WD Blue 1TB 7200RPM HDD.

 

Peripherals: GK61 (Optical Gateron Red) with Mistel White/Orange keycaps, Logitech G102 (Purple), BitWit Ensemble Grey Deskpad. 

 

Audio: Logitech G432, Moondrop Starfield, Mic: Razer Siren Mini (White).

 

Phone: Pixel 3a (Purple-ish).

well the board's topology can't handle 4266. 

make sure they're in slot 2 and 4, then update the bios and you can set the vccio and sa to 1.1/1.2 and then try 3600 and work your way up to 4000.

If for any reason your board can't handle 4266 you should be at least able to get some tighter timings.
