What is the best webcam under $75?

jtmoseley

I'm looking for a good webcam for relatively cheap. I am considering streaming but it will mostly be used during DnD sessions for facecam.

I already have an audio setup, so I don't need it to have a microphone.

I am also okay with buying it used on ebay or something if anyone finds a good listing.

Thanks

The Logitech C920 is generally considered the best budget webcam, it might be hard to find it during the pandemic though.

I'm also wondering this, for school when it restart at the end of the month...

I tried one that cost 45$ (CAD), but it was utter garbage and worse than the camera on my old ass Windows Phone, had the return label printed within 10 minutes of receiving it. (also had massive audio issues)

Every webcam is so expensive these days because of Covid... and the rare times the Logitech ones are back on sale at their proper prices on Amazon(like the 920 at 99$), they last about an hour before resellers buy them to resell at 3x the price.

MOBO: MSI B450m Gaming Plus / NVME: Corsair MP510 240GB / Case: TT Core v21 / PSU: Seasonic 750W / OS: Win 10 Pro

At this point, you'd be better off getting a tripod for your phone and using an app (something like Iriun) to use as the webcam. Especially if you have a decent phone camera.

I've tried that. But it's not recognized as a camera by Windows. It's only showing the camera in the Iriun Webcam application. Windows just says there's no camera connected.

I guess I'll use Keepa to track the price of the 920x on Amazon for whenever it goes back to 99$ at the very least...

Are you using the Windows camera app? I've got it working in MSTeams and OBS. Never tried the Windows Camera app, though...
