own led strip for nzxt controller

hello, I have a nzxt h510i case, I would like to attach an additional led strip to the controller in this housing.  Has anyone done something like this?  Where can I find an adapter from the 3pin output from the strap to the 4pin connector in the controller?  Better to use 30 leds per meter or 60 leds per meter?
