I think i want to spend a little extra to get a 4.0 drive, I'm currently looking at the saberent rocket 1tb it doesn't come with a heatsink but i now my motherboard has heatsinks over the m.2 slots, will they be good enough?

Yep. but no realistic benefit of a 4.0 drive if they're substantially more expensive.

Yes, those heatspreaders should help if you've got some airflow around them.

Get a thermal pad tape if it's not already applied.

Don't rely on those screw-on heatsinks.

Sabrent don't use a heatsink probably for a reason, their drive not hot enough to need one.
