Best laptop under £500

Looking for a small-ish student orientated laptop for a budget of £500. I need good battery life ,I also need it to be reletively powerful and have a a minimun screen size of 14".

I would like it to run Windows as chromeOS doesnt allow you to run word.

TL;DR Best in price class and has a ton of great features for any person who doesn't have the cash now, but can upgrade parts later. :)
