Trying to put something together for my son... please help! 😁

its going to have to have a lot of cooling power. He has burnt through like 4 ps4's and we even added extra fans on the last one. It gets so hot it literally won't let him play anymore...

How does the cooling of a PS4 have to do with a PC?

A good air cooler and a decent case and he's fine.

I would suggest you read the forums here a bit,  It sounds like the 15 year old is running this build and has you convinced you need to spend 4 GRAND on a box.

Why was the motherboard bought months ago?  What happened to that build?

Really all this overkill for a little teenager to stream a game to all of what?  4-5 friends?  Gotta keep things in perspective here, you're not building a graphic design workstation for a big company here.

Folks are giving you great advice, up to you to heed it.

He is 15 and has been playing on Playstation since he was about 6 and in the last few years has mentioned wanting to switch over to PC

Yeah, he doesn't need this fortune's worth of hardline custom loop parts or high-end components.

Switch the GPU to a 2060 if he's streaming, NVENC is way better than AMD's current solution

If he is using that monitor you showed earlier (most likely 60hz) This pc i have put below is more than enough for that.

He is only 15. If you are going to get a new monitor, this is what parts and monitor I would chose. I am not sure what the situation is, but don't let him persuade you that he needs a $4000 computer.

This is the maximum he probably needs. (I am aware that you have already got the motherboard.

For the monitor, you could either go with a 1440p 144hz one: Samsung C27JG56 or a 240hz 1080p panel: Acer XF250Q Cbmiiprx
